This camping kettle is nice to have for boiling water for coffee or freeze dry meals. It collapses down to make it easier to carry and store. It has thick rubber and the entire thing is heavy duty and made to last.
The big caveat is that it needs to be centered over a gas stove and not on a camp fire or grill. It still uses rubber sides that can burn or melt. On one campout, I did not center it and it was started to smell as the plastic was heating up.
The other issue is that you cannot let this dry out while using. It will no longer stay cool and melt.
If you keep an eye on it and use it as intended, it is a well-made pot that can be taken with you anywhere. You just have to keep in mind it is not indestructible. The whole thing has a band to keep it together when not using it.

Bought this for a 5-day backpacking trip and it did NOT disappoint. Weighs next to nothing compared to my old stainless steel kettle, and the 1000ml capacity was just right for two people—enough for tea, coffee, and heating up instant soups. Love that it’s made with food-grade material and can go straight on the camp stove flame; no weird plastic tastes at all. Collapsed size is tiny (like 1.5 inches thick!) so it fit in the side pocket of my hiking pack with room to spare. The build feels really sturdy too, not flimsy like some foldable gear. Only con is I wish it came with a small storage bag, but that’s a minor detail. Highly recommend for any hiker or camper!

This is a nice pot that collapses down to save space. I have an overland trailer with a slide out kitchen that has limited space. The fact that this collapses helps me fit it in there easier, and save room for more things. It heats well on my gas stove, and pours well too without spilling or dripping.
